Green Day at Jiffy Lube Live!

Carey and I got to see Green Day again last night.  This time our seats were awesome. Seven rows behind the pit.  The show was aswesome, as we expected.  Two and a half hours of super high energy rock n roll.  I dont know how they do it.  It was 90some degrees and they performed for two and a half hours in pants and shirt sleeves.  The coolest part of the night was watching a random fan get chosen to sing "longview" on stage, if that wasn't good enough, Billie Joe GAVE him his guitar when the song was over.  What a piece of memorabilia 'eh?  So cool..  You have to see these guys if you get a chance. I've attached a few photos from last night.  Enjoy!

Green Day, TONITE!!

Can ya tell I'm excited? Its funny how certain things can help get you through your day. Yesterday was hockey(we lost, but oh well), today is the show, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Carey's grandmother is continuing to improve. She was able to sit up yesterday and walk to the bathroom with assistance. Its amazing the things that we take for granted when we are healthy. I will continue to keep you updated.

Have a good day!

I'm fired up...

I don't know why I feel weird about this, but I do. Carey and I got floor seats to see Green Day at Verizon Center in July, and I'm seriously excited. Is it weird for a 34 year old guy to be excited about seeing a band where most of the rest of the crowd will be in its mid 20's or younger? It's not like we are going to see Neil Diamond or something. The people who know me know that I'm not much of a concert goer, but I have warmed up to the idea as I've gotten older. My only legitimate concern is for Carey, and her 5 foot nothing frame. Since the floor is general admission I'm afraid she may have a hard time seeing, but we'll deal with that when/if it happens. For now, I'm just going to keep on keepin' on being fired up for the show. Thanks to the Green Day website for the graphic.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Pens suck...lets go Caps!
