Its Thursday...

The regulars know what that means. Its cheerleader of the week and NFL Cheerleader gallery time. Note the Tampa cheerleaders in the awesome orange and whites. Too funy. Thanks to si.com

Tomorrow's Friday, I'm excited about that. My Grandfather's birthday is tomorrow and my Dad's birthday is on Saturday. I need to call him and see what's going on.....CRAB CAKES BABY!!!

Things are still weird here at work. There is so much confusion and so many rumors about who is staying here and who is going it's almost comical. You should hear the conference calls. "Program A is moving? We didn't know that. Well, we aren't sure yet, but can you help us plan in case they move?" Unreal.

I'm starting to get used to driving home in the dark again. I don't know why I never can remember this in the summertime. It's been happening every year, and every year I'm like "Did I drive home in the dark last year?" I guess I'm just a doofus. ;-)

The big Thursday edition

It's Thursday, and all the regulars know that Thursday is cheerleader of the week day. Thanks again to si.com. Today is double bonus Thursday since we got a look at last week's NFL cheerleaders too. Enjoy.

My boss and his boss were in the office today, which means I didn't get squat done, but I did get to sit in on a three hour meeting and eat lunch for free. I love the corner bakery, they make awesome sandwiches.

I'm playing hockey for the 4th time in 6 days tonight, that may be contributing to my being so tired, but its a good tired. I'm hoping to keep this level of exercise up for a few weeks and see how I feel. I have also been successful in staying away from soda, with the exception of a diet root beer at some friends' house last weekend. Kicking the cola habit will be a big deal for me.

All else is well, we have tickets to see the Caps play the Islanders tomorrow night, thanks to K&K for that. I'm sure he'll DVR the game, so you can get a recap at his blog.

Have a good night...tomorrow's FRIDAY!!!

Happy Friday.

Another Friday is upon us, so as is semi-tradition around here, I've included a link to this weeks Si.com cheerleader of the week. Enjoy.

This week has been both fun, and long for me. My motivation level at work is at an all time low. It sucks trying to find motivation, but I'm getting through. My boss and his boss will be in next week, which should make for a few interesting days.

I turned 35 this week, and my wife gave me the second best present ever. She took my Alex Ovechkin autographed jersey and had it framed. I hung it Wednesday night, so now I can oogle(yes that's a word blogger) all the time while I'm in my basement. The best present she ever got me my was the rod-hockey table that sits below the jersey in the basement. I think the hockey table also takes the prize for best suprise delivery for a present, as I carried that heavy thing in the house thinking it was for someone else.

The trees in our neighborhood have started to give up their leaves, and the colors in my neighborhood are quite nice. I'm actually looking forward to Winter this year. Scary 'eh.

I've decided to have a little bit of fun with my twitter account. I'm now going to follow as many stars and celebrities as I can. I don't know why, but I think it's fun to see what they are up to. Right now, I'm following 70+, notable names are Chuck Lidell(UFC), Penn Jillette, and Adam Richman(Man vs Food). Feel free to follow me.

Thats it for today.

Good News

Carey's grandmother had her surgery yesterday. It went well and she is resting, still in the hospital. Once she gets recovered from this procedure the doctors will go back in and clear her corroded artery. This is a big relief for all of us. I will continue to track her status on the blog.

Our trip home from Milwaukee was uneventful, which is good. My biggest complaint was the amount of time it took us to get our bag, and pick up the car(over an hour). My experience on AirTran was a good one. I particularly like the free XM radio at your seat.

I'm back at work today, it's been fun listening to the PM's from our Development team trying to communicate with my co-worker...he had to speak to my coworker like he was twelve. Unreal..It gave me a good chuckle though. Oh yeah, backup tapes never got changed while I was gone...that didn't make me chuckle. I can't wait until I'm gone from this place permanently.
