Unlike most folks in the town I live in, I am working today. Most of this city is off until Wednesday, I unfortunately am not. So I'm here, and being productive. Except for this exact moment.
The weekend was fairly un-exciting, we bought the wife a new laptop for her schooling. I played hockey, sort of. I'm not sure you can call what I did on Sunday actually "playing" hockey, but I was there and on the ice. The Caps are playing a matinee in NYC today so I at least have something fun to listen to while I'm at work. Life in general is pretty good. Nothing too exciting going on. Hopefully I'll have some blog worthy material for tomorrow. It snowing as I type this, so my commute may make headlines for tomorrow....who knows. Thanks for stopping by!

2010 Bridgestone Winter Classic Weather Forecast
I looked at January weather statistics for Pittsburgh in recent years, as well as the climate forecasts for this year and came up with what I think will be a good forecast for January 1st.
This year is the beginning of a La Nina climate cycle, which means average temperatures and slightly above average precipitation for the Pittsburgh area. I'm also taking into account the recent storm activity and the lake effect snows which have been really cranking over the last few weeks.
I'm going to call for high temperatures slightly below freezing, with a stiff wind from the NW (10-12mph). For the game, more clouds than sun, chance of some sort of frozen precipitation, 60%.
Come back in a few weeks and see if I'm right!
