The first of the fall/winter holidays has come and gone. I have made my annual Thanksgiving trip to Atlantic City to donate some cash to the Tropicana Resort and Casino. It was a fun trip. The holiday lights are officially up. This year's new addition are a pair of light up flamingo's. They go great with the light up palm tree. My neighbors must think I'm nuts, but I don't care.
Not too much else going on. I'm officially half way through my Saturday morning skating clinics. I've impressed myself, getting up at 5am on Saturday for three weeks in a row. Hopefully I can keep the streak going.
All else is well. Hopefully I'll have more to talk about tomorrow.

2010 Bridgestone Winter Classic Weather Forecast
I looked at January weather statistics for Pittsburgh in recent years, as well as the climate forecasts for this year and came up with what I think will be a good forecast for January 1st.
This year is the beginning of a La Nina climate cycle, which means average temperatures and slightly above average precipitation for the Pittsburgh area. I'm also taking into account the recent storm activity and the lake effect snows which have been really cranking over the last few weeks.
I'm going to call for high temperatures slightly below freezing, with a stiff wind from the NW (10-12mph). For the game, more clouds than sun, chance of some sort of frozen precipitation, 60%.
Come back in a few weeks and see if I'm right!
