Best seat in the house.

I'm typing as the rain core from a fairly strong thunderstorm smacks us around a little bit at work.  Generally in this area storms travel west to east.  Today's storm was rotating from the southeast to the northwest, so I got a front row seat as it approached. What a rare treat!  I wish I could have gotten a picture of the initial cloud, it was very impressive.  I love a good thunderstorm, and this one will help me get through the middle of the day.  The folks north of here in Baltimore and Anne Arundel county are really getting slapped around.   I can't wait to get a better understanding about how these storms work. You will see from the pic below, the radar is lit up like a Christmas tree. My location is where the little plus sign is on the map. Thanks to WeatherUnderground for the radar.

Have a good day!.

  1. Yeah, it was driving pretty hard in two separate stretches in Elkridge: around 3:15 and again around 4:30. I love watching it come down.
