Green Day, TONITE!!

Can ya tell I'm excited? Its funny how certain things can help get you through your day. Yesterday was hockey(we lost, but oh well), today is the show, who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Carey's grandmother is continuing to improve. She was able to sit up yesterday and walk to the bathroom with assistance. Its amazing the things that we take for granted when we are healthy. I will continue to keep you updated.

Have a good day!

Craaaaaaabs

As promised...there's my $1 crab from last night. It was a great evening. If you would like to join us at the Dock of the Bay for $1.50 crabs one weeknight this summer, just let me know.

Carey's grandmother is back in the hospital with more chest pains. She seems to be ok, they are keeping her for observation. We are all hoping that that doctors get these blockages cleared asap. Carey went up there today, I'll be joining her tomorrow.

We've got a busy week or so planned with this trip this weekend and Karen's wedding in Milwaukee next weekend.

I cant wait for the work day to be over...although going home to an empty house is never fun. Until next week....stay crabby!

Juke Box Hero...

Last night was interesting. I had just settled in for my favorite part of the MLB All Star Game, the pregame ceremonies. I had snack, and some water, I was all set. Suddenly I didn't have power. After I expressed my feelings with a few choice expletives I decided to see how many other folks in my cul-de-sac had the same issue. I quickly found out it was everyone. I tried to sit outside on my porch, but between the bugs and my neighbors and her kids(we refer to them as the yellers, because that's all they do) I was forced back inside. Luckily Carey's laptop was charged so I passed the hour and a half of darkness by watching Borat. It ended up not being that bad.

We found out that Carey's grandmother has several blockages in arteries, so they are going to schedule her for more surgery to get them fixed. We will be up in Tom's River this weekend to spend some time with them. We don't know when the next procedure will be.

All else is well with me, I'm going to dip my toe in the employment pool again I think. I want to see whats out there, since my current job is occupying wayyy to much of my brain when it shouldn't be. We shall see how that goes. I don't expect there to be much out there, but it can't hurt to look.

Not as young as I used to be...

I'm learning a hard lesson today. I had a really fun weekend. I went to an Orioles game up in Baltimore, spent some time by the water yesterday, hung out with friends, it was overall a a very good time. The common theme of the weekend was beer, and LOTS of it. I never really overdid it at one moment over the weekend, but I think I probably had more than I think. Today I feel like a one legged-man at an ass kicking contest. It sucks.

Carey's grandmother is having surgery tomorrow to remove a 75% blockage in one of her arteries. Her grandmother is 80, so this is a big deal. I'm sure all will go well, but surgery is a big deal. I'll keep you guys in the loop as much as I can. Have a good afternoon!
