Hockey Day in DC

Today is the beginning of the NCAA's final four of Men's Ice Hockey, known as the "Frozen Four". Its the first time this event has been in our area. I was lucky enough to have my name pulled out of the hat by the NCAA and got tickets to both semi-final games today as well as the finals on Saturday. I've never seen a college hockey game before, so I'm looking forward to the new experience. Tonight's game are on ESPN2 at 5:30 and 8 if you are interested. I'm seeing this as one of those experiences I can check off my "hockey player to do list". I've been pretty lucky as a player over the last 4 years and done some really cool stuff, (i.e. playing pond hockey, assisting on an overtime game winner in the playoffs, scoring a goal in front of my parents), but this will certainly be a highlight for me. We will also have the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of our hockey friends(as it seems they all got tickets as well). It should be a memorable weekend. By the way, I'm pulling for Miami of Ohio. They were a low seed, and they wear red. GO HAWKS!
