Happy Birthday Blog...

Today, or somewhere around this day, last year was my first ever blog entry. I'm surprised by how much I have enjoyed blogging over the last year. I'm also surprised by how many people have read this blog. I'd like to thank all the "regulars" for their time and interest. I hope I've been informative, funny, and enjoyable. I've gotten well over 2000 page loads on this blog and that really surprises me. I'll keep doing this, as long as it is still fun.

I start a stretch tonight where I have five hockey games in four days, and I'm really looking forward to the challenge and the exercise. We will also be participating in the annual tradition of consuming adult beverages and making gingerbread houses on Saturday night, that's always a fun time. I hope to have some pics of our creations to share with you.

It's also cheerleader of the week and NFL Cheerleader Gallery day. Thanks again to si.com.

The big Thursday edition

It's Thursday, and all the regulars know that Thursday is cheerleader of the week day. Thanks again to si.com. Today is double bonus Thursday since we got a look at last week's NFL cheerleaders too. Enjoy.

My boss and his boss were in the office today, which means I didn't get squat done, but I did get to sit in on a three hour meeting and eat lunch for free. I love the corner bakery, they make awesome sandwiches.

I'm playing hockey for the 4th time in 6 days tonight, that may be contributing to my being so tired, but its a good tired. I'm hoping to keep this level of exercise up for a few weeks and see how I feel. I have also been successful in staying away from soda, with the exception of a diet root beer at some friends' house last weekend. Kicking the cola habit will be a big deal for me.

All else is well, we have tickets to see the Caps play the Islanders tomorrow night, thanks to K&K for that. I'm sure he'll DVR the game, so you can get a recap at his blog.

Dilemma...

Hey all,
It's not that I haven't wanted to post over the last few days, in fact I've had the post page open several times, I just can't think of anything blogworthy. My life is truly that boring. I will start looking harder for some interesting topics. I still like doing this, its still fun, I just need stuff to talk about. My highlight for this week was our only goal in a 2-1 loss on Sunday night. My teammates were referring to me as the "garbageman" since I seem to pick up other people's trash and put it in the net.

All else is well. Tomorrow is my birthday, I'll be 35. I have one of the best birthday presents *ever* coming tomorrow night, but I'll wait and share it with you when I get it.

This day wont end...

Everyone knows how it is on your last day before a vacation. I cant get out of here soon enough. Next week we will be in fabulous Las Vegas. Cant wait. It doesn't help that I'm tired. Ive played hockey the past two night. All I want to do is put my head down and take a nap. I'll have my laptop with me in Vegas, so hopefully I'll have a cool pic or two, to put up.

Carey's grandmother came home from the hospital on Oct 1. Its the end of a 10 week journey for her. Its so nice to see that she has recovered. Thanks for all your thought.

The weather is here, wish you were beautiful...

Good afternoon! I found out this morning that our boss is "too sick" to make a trip to see us this week. His presence doesn't affect me one way or the other, I'm just wondering if he got a case of the "I don't want to go to Rockville Flu" or if he honestly is sick. I know he hates his job as much as I hate mine, he's told me that. Who knows. It's been a mildly frustrating day today. It's been one of those days that makes me feel like I work with kids...apologies to my teacher friends.

I'm supposed to play hockey tonight, but we shall see if that happens. It's a 10pm game and I don't think I'm willing to be tired for two days just to play for an hour tonight.

I don't have a lot going on this week...and I think I'll keep it that way.
